Vince LIVE: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application design

Who?

A user-persona of Vince LIVE application worked in the logistics and supply chain. These users were divided into two different groups:

Admin or primary users:

They were responsible for collecting logistics data from several IT systems - for example ERP, CRM, and more - using Vince Live, to create a workflow and dashboard. The purpose was to give access to the secondary group of users of dashboards and workflows so that they could run daily logistics operations in their company. Admin users were technical and responsible to provide access to the end user dashboard. They wanted more and complete control over the software.

End user or secondary users:

End user- that's what they called at Vince AS! They work as an accountant or financial director and need access to dashboards from the admin to get an overview of their own processes. For example marketing processes or those that deal with financial departments.

Why?

Vince LIVE application in MVP version needed a more user-friendly and new design that not just could solve its users problems and needs but also in alignment with the new branding guidelines of Vince AS.

What?

About the product:

Vince LIVE is a cloud-based digital platform that helps companies take control of master data across IT ecosystems. By collecting data in the form of API in one place, Vince LIVE provides a unique overview of the business process to customers.

Design Challenge:

To design a user-friendly navigation flow and interaction of Vince LIVE application, right from 'Log in' page to the 'Workflow' interface with new branding guidelines.

How?

The following activities were carried out to achieve the objective:

User-research Activites:

• Meetings with the product owner and stakeholder

• Competitive analysis

• Usability testing on MVP version

• User-flow and solution sketches

Design:

• Created a new pattern library with several interactive components that were based on Google material designs

• Sketched task flows based on user scenarios

• Designed lo-fi and hi-fi prototypeDelivery to developers
